I remember one day we woke up in Kaanapali and it was sprinkling with sunshine and rainbows. We drove to Big Beach in Makena and it was hot and sunny. Then we drove to Iao Valley and it was pouring. I don't think you will see much rain in Makena, as mentioned above. It may rain lightly, but nothing to spoil your trip. Have fun! My wife and I usually vacation on Maui in February.
