planning a trip around America (i need transport help)?
Bolth Mannn asked:
hi, im planning a trip around america, and when i mean, around america, i mean every state. (except alaska and hawaii) but anyway, what do you guys think would be the best way of transport for me to get around? i was thinking of a motor home, itd be good cause i wouldnt have to spend any money on motels/hotels but its also bad because you cant really park a motor home at theme parks and casinos and restaurants and stuff like that. so would you know any car rental places that will let you hire cars to ge around america for around 6 months. if not, is there any other way of transport that you would recommend? (im not flying, and i dont necessarily want to go taxi/bus hopping, so can you guys help me out? thanks.

If your ruling out buses and no rental place will want to rent you a car for 6 months you could, lease a car but you’d have to watch your mileage or it could be very very costly.
A motor home would be the simplest of answers as you already stated and you can park a motor home at casinos restaurants and theme parks… they will welcome you with open arms.
Outside of no buses or motor homes and not renting or leasing a car my next best idea would be to take the train. Its probably the cheapest option I’m guessing or the second cheapest. But like a bus your on their schedule and once your off the train your back to having to deal with buses, taxi’s, shuttles, and subways and car rentals to get around town.
Ultimately I’d say the motor home sounds like your most convenient bet… outside of gas guzzling and its price per gallon.

Create a video blog…instantly.
If you’re going to be gone that long, buy a decent used car and sell it when you leave. The amount you will lose will be cheaper than renting for 6 months. Buy the car from someone on or on ebay. Greyhound has special ticket deals.
