Didn’t get any help the first time.maybe the second time will be better help?
☺ ♥ ☺ ♥ asked:
Yes as crazy as it sounds we’re taking our kids on the honeymoon with us? So if anyone is going to say I’m crazy and leave them you’re wasting your time.
My fiance and I (mostly me) are planning a wedding that involves the his children. For example they will be part of the wedding invitations, the wedding party, unity candle ceremony, special vows and rings for them, etc. So what better way than taking them on the honeymoon.
We are planning to go to Hawaii but need to know which island is “kid” orientated. I heard Maui was, but I’m not sure. Their ages are at the time of the wedding 10, 9, 6. I don’t expect any alone time with my fiance so I’m not worried about any babysitters. Also if Maui is a perfect place where should we stay as far as Hotels/Resorts. I want something that is not so expensive but also gives the feel of exotic and romantic. Also what is there to do in Maui that is family orientated? Any advice is welcomed and appreciated, Thank you in advanced:)
For those who suggested Disney World, We have been there for the Christmas and New Years Holiday, we wanted something different.

Well I think it is wonderful that you want to include the kids like that
My first reaction would be the big island only because I hear there is more to do on that island. Congratulations!

Not sure about which island but I do have a suggestion for the whole trip. A friend of mine got married went on her honeymoon and then the children joined them half way through. That way they had couple time and family time. Your wedding sounds really nice.

I’ve only been to Oahu, but the resort where I stayed was kid-oriented: Marriott K’Olina Beach club. At least 2 large excellent swimming pools, and organized activities for kids. Child-friendly lagoon instead of the regular open ocean beach.
Also, I saw on the Travel channel there’s a kid-friendly resort with a huge pool that included a “pool elevator” and other unusual features. Don’t remember the name or where it was: I think it was on Maui. I think it’s one of these:

For kids, I think you should go to Maui for sure. Big Island is more shopping and other stuff along those lines which I’m sure that your kids would not like so much. Try googling for activities at Maui. There are many different outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking, snorkling, etc. I’m sure you’re bound to find SOMETHING appealling to your kids!

You sound set on a hawaii theme, so i would figure going to the following website…
i think hawaii sounds like fun, but have you thought of going to maybe disneyworld/land or somewhere they might also enjoy and have a beach? I hope you all have fun. Including the kids sounds like a great idea.

Last August, I went on a 7 day Hawaiian cruise with stops in Honolulu, Kauai, Hilo, Kona, and Maui (Kahului) for a family vacation. I thought it was great because I got to see all the big islands. I wasn’t stuck in one spot. It was so much fun!

what about the beaches resorts around the world. its like Sandals but only its kid oriented. that might be fun. as for Hawaii, I dont know any kid friendly places, but it sounds really expensive to take the kids there.

I think it’s great that you’re taking your kids on your honeymoon. If you’re having problems getting answers to this question, you might need to try re-asking under the Travel category.
Good luck!
