The nicest Hotel that I have seen in Honolulu is the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The Marriott in Waikiki beach is also very nice. However, I don’t think either is particularly cheap. You might find something more affordable a few blocks away from the beach.

I would check out the Ala Moana Hotel. It is located just outside of Waikiki, adjacent to the shopping center. My group has used it for educational programs & have been pleased with the service & the pricing. Are you targeting local attendees or people traveling from the mainland? Local people generally prefer not to go into Waikiki, so would be happy with the Ala Moana location. But if everyone is staying at hotels in Waikiki, then the Ala Moana may not be the most convenient choice.
