About Yehuda Diamonds
For three generations, the Yehuda family has earned a flawless reputation in nearly every facet of the diamond industry. The family patriarch, Ben-Zion Yehuda, was a well known diamond trader, scientist and inventor. His son, Zvi Yehuda, created the Yehuda Clarity Enhancement Process in 1982.
Today, Zvi Yehuda’s children are aggressively positioning the Yehuda Diamond Company for success in the new millennium. With offices on three continents, the Yehuda Diamond Company controls 80% of its niche market and is growing at an incredible rate of 40 to 50% each year.
Born in 1937, Zvi Yehuda the inventor always had a love for diamonds. That affection led to his first breakthrough at the tender age of 16, when he discovered a scientific way to recycle diamond dust. Later, he invented the procedure to laser drill diamonds. And then he invented a machine that could actually predict the color of a diamond before it was even cut.
But, his greatest accomplishment to date is the invention of the Yehuda Clarity Enhancement – a process that optically eliminates feathers, which are naturally occurring imperfections in diamonds. Zvi and wife, Meira, were proud to see their four children continue the Yehuda family’s great tradition in the diamond business.
In 1988, Zvi’s sons, Dror and Ron, opened a New York-based office and launched an all-out campaign to introduce the U.S. marketplace to their new product. The brothers’ strategy included extensive advertising, frequent trade show participation, and an endless list of speaking engagements. In 1999, Zvi’s two other children, Moshe and Yael Yehuda-Kenigsberg, joined the Yehuda Diamond Company’s extensive buying, cutting and sorting facilities in Israel.
